Introduction

KidStoryVideo ("we", "us") is an AI story video service that lets parents, guardians, and educators create short animated story videos with consistent characters. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using kidstoryvideo.com you agree to this policy.

Who This Service Is For

KidStoryVideo is designed for adults — parents, guardians, and educators. It is not directed at children, and children under 13 may not create accounts or use the service themselves. Any photo of a child must be uploaded by an adult account holder acting as that child's parent or legal guardian.

Information We Collect

• Account information. We support Google sign-in only. When you sign in we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google via our authentication service. We never see or store your Google password.
• Content you upload. Story ideas and text prompts you enter, and photos you upload as character references — which may include photos of your child.
• Generated content. The character images and story videos our AI pipeline creates for you.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your order and subscription status; we never store your card number.
• Usage data. When analytics is configured, we use Plausible for aggregate product and funnel events. We do not add advertising cookies for this tracking. Other cookies are used for login sessions and language preference.

Children's Photos and Children's Privacy

Because photos of children are central to what many families create here, we treat them with extra care:

• Parental consent. By uploading a photo of a child, you confirm you are that child's parent or legal guardian (or have the guardian's explicit permission) and consent to its processing as described here.
• Purpose limitation. Uploaded photos are used solely to generate your character reference image and story videos. We do not use them for advertising, we do not sell them, and we do not use them to train our own models.
• AI processing. To generate images and videos, your prompts and uploaded photos are sent to third-party AI model providers through our AI gateway. Provider-side processing and temporary retention are governed by the provider used for that request.
• COPPA. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The service is operated by and for adult account holders. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

Storage and Retention

Original source photos use random object keys in public Cloudflare R2 storage: anyone with the exact URL can access the object, although we do not publicly list the URL. After the illustrated reference succeeds, we attempt to delete the original immediately. Failed or abandoned source-photo uploads are scheduled for deletion no later than 24 hours after upload.

Confirmed reference illustrations, story plans, saved character data, and generated videos remain in project history until the story or local account is deleted, subject to third-party generation-provider availability and retention. You can delete a story from its project page or delete your local account from Profile settings. Active subscriptions must be canceled separately.

How We Use Information

• Provide and improve the service (generate videos, manage credits and subscriptions)
• Communicate with you about your account and orders
• Prevent abuse and secure the service

We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run KidStoryVideo: our authentication service, payment processor (Stripe), cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare), and AI model providers (for generation requests only). Each receives only what it needs. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Your Rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes affecting children's data will be highlighted.
